
Rachel Horton
Rachel Horton is a Dallas-based marketing and communications leader who leads editorial and client content strategy at TechArena.ai. Having built and led marketing and communications functions across four different industries over 27 years, Rachel has held key leadership roles at the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office, Texas Health Resources, Texas Instruments, Micron, and SMU. She also served as a branding and communications consultant for companies including biotech startup Revalia Bio.
Rachel has a degree in Journalism with a minor in Creative Writing from Pepperdine University. She started her career as a reporter in Dallas, winning an Associated Press Managing Editor's Award in 2000 for a series of articles she wrote for the Arlington Morning News about a youth correctional facility where inmates were being abused by guards. Because of her articles, the facility was ultimately shut down.
Most recently, Rachel debuted her first children’s book. She is working on a novel.
